Green Goddess Smoothie


This is one of the recipes that was served for guests on a recent Hencote Retreat. and it went down really well!

You can't really taste the veg because of the sweetness of the fruit, and you can easily swap around the ingredients depending on what greens you have in the fridge. I like this particular blend below, as the mix of pear, kiwi and lime make it really "zingy."

INGREDIENTS:

Mix the following in a blender:

200 ml almond milk

2 kiwi fruits (flesh)

1 handful spinach

1 handful kale or any leafy greens/2 stalks cavolo nero

A squeeze of half lime or lemon

4 inch chunk of cucumber

1 frozen banana (pre-frozen in chunks)

1 pear

Makes 2 large glasses.
